Taste of Belgium Aruba, Heaven on Earth

Young, dynamic and ready to conquer the world, Taste of Belgium was founded by Peter Ballière, Werner Vennen and Luc van Eetvelde, who are already well-known on the island for their fabulous restaurant. Now that the restaurant has changed hands, they were ready for a new challenge. But they did not stay with just one challenge: from the Chocolaterie they went on to Catering, and then on to the Bistro. The new F&B challenge on De Palm Island is their latest venture.

We would like to show you the various departments that make up Taste of Belgium. Via the links that we provide, you will be able to view menus, place orders or consider catering options. Taste of Belgium consists of four different departments: the Bistro in the Paseo Herencia Mall, the Chocolaterie in the Renaissance Mall, the catering services of Taste of Belgium Catering at Bubali and the Food & Beverage at De Palm Island (2 restaurants).

An evening at the Bistro promises great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Starting from 10 am the Bistro is open for coffee, lunch, drinks and cocktails until 11 pm when the kitchen closes. Located in the courtyard of the new Paseo Herencia Mall, in walking distance from the high-rise hotels.

The Chocolaterie of Taste of Belgium is superbly elegant and a treasure trove for anyone who has a sweet tooth. Perfect for gifts or surprises, but also the place to take a rest from shopping in its small café. The Chocolaterie is located in the downtown Renaissance Mall, where upscale shopping is enjoyed by tourists and locals alike. Open from 9 am till 7 pm; closed on Sundays.

Taste of Belgium Catering is making a name for itself on the island. Catering involves more than food and chairs, it is an art form. All the client’s wishes will be met, and more, if possible. Dinners from 20 persons, buffets, hors d’oeuvres and drinks as well as themed decorations belong to the options. A young and dynamic team is at your service.

De Palm Island is a slice of paradise halfway to the sunrise side of Aruba. A short boat ride takes you to this reef island of all-inclusive fun. The Food & Beverage department is now in the hands of Taste of Belgium. The fun tastes better now.

Students: Taste of Belgium also offers students the opportunity to apply their professional skills and gain valuable practical experience in our industry. Examples include assignments in all sorts of hospitality industry and in marketing & communications. These assignments enable a student to apply and develop their knowledge, skills and abilities to help meet company and school objectives. Each student will be assigned a mentor at the start of their internship and will also receive guidance from the Human Resources Department.
